How
do I order
The
first stage to ordering is knowing the pattern and colourway you
want, if you haven't yet got a sample please click on 'request
a sample' to order one. Once you know what your after,
you can either email your order or give us a call to arrange payment,
chosen design, colourway and rolls or metres, our details are in
'contact'.
Delivery
times
We
try to keep a stock of all our papers (except bespoke), but we do
keep a small stock and sometimes the paper/fabric your after won't
be in, at which point we will order it in. If you want to know if
the paper is instock give us a call or an email, if it is, delivery
time is usually within 5 working days.
Delivery
normally 5 working days unless not in stock in which case delivery
times can vary:
Barton collection wallpaper normally around 3 weeks from payment.
Barton collection fabric normally around 3 weeks from payemnt.
Sofine collection wallpaper normally around 3 weeks from payment.
Siecle collection we keep a larger stock so we should have this
in, unless a large order (50+).
Bespoke collection wallpaper normally around 6 weeks from payment.
How
many rolls do I need
Working
out the number of rolls needed can be a little taxing, we hope this
is a little help.
1
roll is 52cm x 10m and will cover an area of about 2x2.5m.
When
working out the number of rolls needed
1) measure the area for covering,
2) find the repeat of the design
3) work out how many repeats will go into each vertical (there is
usually some degree of wastage in this)
4) divide the horizontal length of the space by 52cm (wallpaper
width)
5) divide the vertical repeats needed by the number on a roll, i.e
------(roll)
10m divided by (repeat) 66cm = 15 repeats on the roll (15cm wastage)
------(wall height) 4m divided by (repeat) 66cm = vertical 6 repeats
(6cm wastage)
------(roll repeats) 15 divided by (vertical repeats) 6 = 2 (so
each roll would do 2 strips, with a width of 1.04m)
------divide the width by 1.04m to calculate the number of rolls
(so 5 m wide would be 5 rolls)
This example would have wastage of 1.98m per roll.
This
is a rough guide, with step repeats complicating it slightly, but
hopefully this should help, if you are finding it tricky just give
us a call.
Printing
colours to order (prices for UK)
If
you have a colour you want to use we can usually print in this colour,
exceptions do occur and sometimes if the print you want is a light
print on a dark ground this might not be possible due to the nature
of printing. The colour can be supplied as a swatch, a pantone reference
or if you have another form of colour reference give us a call to
see if this is alright.
Depending
on which collection the design is from the minimum number of rolls
needed to print the order varies:
Barton collection wallpaper colour to order minimum 15 rolls - £65
per roll
Barton collection fabric colour to order minimum 20m - £55
per M (1.37width)
Sofine collection colour to order minimum 15 rolls - £65 per

When
a colour is printed to order, we will do a stirke-off of the colourway
(not Bespoke) which is charged at £150+VAT, this is a sample
of usually around 2m which is to check the colour.
Timings-
Again depending on the collection timings vary:
Barton collection wallpaper usually around 2 weeks to strike-off,

Creating
a design together
If
you are interested in creating a new design, either from some source
material already found, or starting from scratch we would be happy
to help. If this is of interest to you, please give us a call, but
please take into account it can take some time from start to finish
and is better suited to larger commisions.
Hanging
Instructions
Wallpaper
Hanging Instructions
Always check the direction of the pattern before hanging.
Note | These are high quality wallpapers and should be hung by a
qualified and experienced decorator.
Preparation
- Ensure that walls are clean, firm and dry.
- All old wallpaper, backing and lining should be removed.
- Powdery, flaky surfaces should scraped and painted with an oil
based sealer primer. Allow 48 hrs to dry.
- Holes and cracks must be filled.
- Painted surfaces must be roughened with glass-paper.
- Absorbent surfaces should be sized.
- To minimise the hazard in the event of fire, do not hang wallpapers
over expanded polystyrene veneers or any other such flammable products
and ensure wall-coverings are always firmly stuck down.
Hanging Instructions
- Check the rolls are the same batch numbers.
- Match the pattern at eye level.
- Use a spirit level and a faint pencil line to ensure that the
wallpaper is vertical.
- Paste | we only recommend pre-mixed tub pastes, such as LAP, Polycell
or Solvite. Always apply paste generously, paying particular attention
to the edges and allow paper to soak for 2-3 minutes so the paper
becomes supple. Do not over-soak. Do not allow the paste to contaminate
the printed surface. Carefully and immediately wipe off all paste
that may have contaminated the printed surface with a damp sponge.
Do not over-soak the seams. This is not a vinyl paper.
- After hanging 2 lengths, check for shading, wallpaper printing
faults and the paper is hung the correct way up. At this point,
if you are unhappy, stop. No claims will be accepted for more than
one roll and any claim is strictly limited to the replacement of
faulty wallpaper.
Dark Colours
To avoid white edges when hanging darker papers, it is recommended
that chalk or crayon of an appropriate shade is used to colour the
white edge.
Is
the fabric fire resistant, and how do I wash it.
The
fabric is 225 gsm 100% Cotton. and is fire rated to BS 5852 Part
1 Ignition Source 0 at 1. The fabric to withstand the water soaking
procedure in clauses 4.2 and 4.5 of BS 5651.
If you are going to wash the fabric, we would recommend at 40 degrees
on a delicate wash. Natural fading will occur.
We do not take responsibility for the fabric
once bought.
